Active Member

Licenced physician in good standing, engaged in the practice of family medicine. Active members are required to fulfill the College's CME requirements, pay an annual membership fee and practice in accordance with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)'s Code of Ethics.

Student Member

Individual Individual who is enrolled in a Canadian university faculty of medicine undergraduate program leading to the MD degree. Student membership is renewable annually each July 1st and terminates automatically upon ceasing to be enrolled in a Canadian university faculty of medicine undergraduate program. Student members are not required to pay an annual membership fee nor are they required to fulfill the College's CME requirements

Affiliate Specialist Member

Affiliate Specialist - a licensed physician in good standing, who holds Certification from The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or other recognized certifying body outside the College and whose primary practice is in a specialty other than family medicine.
